About Oba Lawrence Oluwole Babajide, Bamigbala 1

His Royal Majesty, Late Oba Dr. Lawrence Oluwole Gbadewole Babajide, Bamigbala 1, the erstwhile Oluoke of Okeigbo Kingdom was born on July 23, 1931 into the family of Chief Daniel Ayinla Babajide and Madam Marian Omiyeni Onidede Babajide whom both hailed from Okeigbo Local Governemnt, Ondo State

Hailing from a polygamous family where his mother was the third wife, he was the third child of six (first four as male and last two being female). He received his primary school education from St Luke’s infant and primary schools, Okeigbo. Thereafter, the late Kabiyesi proceeded to Ondo Boys High School thereby where he made credible leadership impacts between 1950 – 1954

Monarch’s daughter becomes Regent Of Okeigbo

Princess Olusola Babajide has become the new Regent of Okeigbo following the passing of her father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Lawrence Oluwole Babajide, Bamigbala I, the 17th Ruler and 6th Oluoke of Okeigbo Kingdom.

Oba (Dr) Lawrence Oluwole Babajide, Bamigbala I, the Oluoke of Okeigbo Kingdom in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo local government has joined his ancestors. The news which was made public this morning at the main market of the town by the Isoros led by Pakoyi (Baba Loja) of Okeigbo Kingdom, Chief Akinbobola Adedigbo announced the passage of Oluoke to the world beyond.
